  1. Why cane furniture for conservatories?

    Cane or 'rattan' as the correct term, is grown in an Indonesian rainforest and is ideally suited to the vast temperature changes a conservatory environment will provide. Hot temperatures in the day and cool at night will not affect this versatile product as rattan retains a moisture and so will not dry out and split or crack like most other furniture woods. So any other type of furniture not designed for this intense heat environment would soon be damaged. With leather furniture the problem is two fold as not only would the inner wooden frame dry out and split and crack but so would the leather itself as it is not suitable for direct sunlight and heat.

  2. How do I maintain my new cane suite?

    Cane can be treated like any type of wood so for cleaning purposes using or a wet cloth or furniture polish is OK. All fabric covers are fully removable and although most are recommended for dry clean only a gentle handwash would be suitable, some though are machine washable.

  3. Will my cushions fade in direct sunlight?

    Yes, there is no fabric which would be unaffected by the sun but if you rotate loose cushions throughout the year then fading is spread evenly and is negligible. The loose cushions of course should be rotated periodically to get even wear and tear.

  4. Is cane furniture for occasional or everday use, and are there any problems with its quality?

    Some cheaper poorly made cane furniture is only for occasional use but we specialise in thicker (longer grown) and better quality rattan which goes through rigorous quality checks in both our Indonesia factories and at our UK warehouses. We only use thick high grade rattan pole and combined with an extensive shaping and finishing process we are confident you will only receive superior quality cane furniture which is of course suitable for everyday use.

  5. How long will I have to wait before my furniture order is delivered?

    We are confident from taking an order to delivery in our free delivery areas will take approx 10 working days. National delivery charge areas will take approx 4-6 weeks.

  6. I've never bought furniture online before, I'm unsure about doing this?

    Our website and E-tailing payment system is security checked and displays the safety padlock for peace of mind. Unlike most "no face" E-tail sites you are actually dealing with a multiple retailer as well, with a network of showrooms across the north of the UK.
