Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
All goods are sold subject to Caneworld's terms and conditions of sale. The term goods is used for cane furniture order. The term "company" is used for Caneworld.
Shipping And Handling
- We can deliver furniture to a customer’s home address in accordance with the charges and conditions set out below, excluding the Scottish Highlands & Islands, The Isle of Man, The Isle of Wight, The Channel Islands and where access is not suitable for our vehicles - see point 4 below.
- Home deliveries to Northern Ireland and Eire negotiable upon request. We require customer’s full name and address including postcode and daytime, evening & mobile phone numbers.
- Home delivery customers will be contacted to arrange the delivery date. Details regarding access to the property will be ascertained to ensure that the delivery can be completed satisfactorily. Please bear in mind that our vehicles are approximately the size of a double decker bus.
- It will be the responsibility of the customer to ensure that access to the room of their choice is provided and if needed, the necessary help will be available to assist our driver to off-load the goods into their home. If necessary, the customer will be responsible for the removal of doors etc. to facilitate room access.
- Customers are required to inspect the goods and any faults found whilst removing protective packaging must be reported immediately to the company from which the goods were originally purchased.
All prices include VAT. Payment details must be provided by the the customer on the day that we accept your order. Nationwide delivery charges incurred will be applied to the customer order and taken with payment of goods. Minimum order value is £350.00.
The customer must confirm the correct billing address for the credit/debit card, and if different must notify us of the correct delivery address. Deliveries will be arranged with the customer (phone/email) at a convenient time and will normally be made within 4-6 weeks from ordering. Any date for delivery specified by the company is an estimate only and the company shall not be liable for the consequence of any delay. The company will notify the customer if there will be a delay or if the item is no longer available, if so an alternative product will be offered.

Force Majeure
If the manufacture or delivery by normal route or means of delivery or shipment of the customers goods or part of them is delayed or made impossible by events beyond the control of the company or an event falling withing the term "force majeure" and in particular stickes' lockouts or differences with workmen, civil disturbance, war, Queen's enemies, act of God, storm, flood, tempest or accident to machinery, Government requirements, quota or license restrictions; the company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to delivery which is directly or indirectly attibutable to such events.
Ownership
Risk in the goods passes to the customer when the goods are offloaded from the companies, or its agents vehicle at the customers given delivery address.
The property and the legal and beneficial ownership in the goods will only pass or be transferred to the customer when the goods sold under this contract, have been paid for in full.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
Accepted cards: Mastercard, Visa, Electron, Connect, Switch and Debit Cards. Payment will be debited from the customers account before the dispatch of your purchase. The customer must confirm the credit/debit card being used is theirs.
Payment will be accepted by cheque, however the goods cannot be dispatched until the cheque has cleared. Please send the cheque with the customer address and cheque card number written on the back to Caneworld, Fold Head Mills, Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, West Yorkshire, WF14 8AZ
Telephone payment will also be accepted by calling 01924 480394, 7 days a week (shop opening hours). Please have to hand the details fo the goods you wish to purchase and the method of payment.
Caneworld is an etail payment secure site represented by the padlock symbol. When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Returns Policy
Once in production the goods cannot be cancelled. The goods can only be returned if there is a fault in the product. Complaints on faulty goods cannot be considered unless official notification is lodged in writing with the company within 14 days from delivery date, providing a full description of the fault.
Goods must be examined on receipt, and if damaged, signed for with immediate advice to the company. If the above procedure is not adhered to the company cannot accept responsibility. The liability of the comapny for loss or damage in transit shall not exceed replacement of the goods shown to be lost or damaged or at the company's option reimbursement of the price received by them for the goods. All further claims for damages, howsoever arising, are hereby expressly excluded.
When returning faulty goods the customer must contact us on 01924 480394 prior to returning the goods to agree a method and date for return. If goods are returned in a resonable condition the company will pay for the reasonable delivery or recollection costs. Refunds can only be made once the goods are back in the possession of the company or for the unusual circumstance of cancellation of unfulfilled order. The refund will be in the form of the original method of payment.
